Let me introduce Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. Today it is the main higher education institution in textile and clothing, leather and footwear industries of Ukraine. Our University prepares experts and leaders for our country as for partner countries all over the world. We’d like to offer you to become our student and obtain university-level education, as well as to join us in our work in the field of research and development.
Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design consists of 6 faculties, 4 institutes; Education & Research Centre for International Co-operation, which includes Centre for Foreign Citizens Education. There is also a Department of Postgraduate Education. 28 departments educate about 15 000 students – from Ukraine and the near abroad, and also such countries as China, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Turkmenistan, Iran and others.
University offers:

- Postgraduate courses (Master’s Degree, Doctor’s Degree)
- Part-time courses (Distance Learning, Extramural Courses.
Here you can see 11 scientific schools successfully working and being developed by our scholars. The schools help University not only to keep advanced positions in professional training but to increase its potential. Qualified academic staff is a guarantee of successful research and development activity. Among our teachers you can see 28 academicians and member correspondents of branch Academies of Sciences, 125 professors, doctors of sciences, 385 docents, philosophy doctors, 8 Honoured Scientists of Ukraine, 12 Honoured Workers in popular schooling of Ukraine.
We keep an eye on the processes that take place in the industry and follow industry increase. We plan courses for engineer training according to industry needs and requirements. Thus in 2000 Faculty of Design was established. In 2003 together with Pharmaceutical University we renewed training of chemists-technologists for pharmaceutical industry. In 2001 we established Faculty of Market, Information and Innovation Technologies in Cherkasy.
International contacts are being developed as well. We cooperate with 23 higher education institutions from 12 countries around the world. University is a member of such international organisations as World University Plato, European University Organisation (EUA) and Association of Universities for Textiles (AUTEX). Finally according to results in contest held by World University Plato Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design formed 50 the most popular universities of XX century.
There is a great demand for our graduates in labour-market. The level of job placement is 84 per cents. The evidence of high professional qualifications is a fact that the most of graduates are heads of enterprises of textile and clothing, leather and footwear, chemical, service industries and commercial companies. Fundamental unity between theory and practice in education is close cooperation with leading enterprises of textile and clothing, leather and footwear industries. Among them you can see joint-stock companies “Volodarka”, “Dana”, “Chynbar.”
